Wyoming Arts Council grant awarded to CDC in the amount of $9,780.00

The Wyoming Arts Council has awarded the Children’s Discovery Center $9,780 in support of the continuance and improvement of our 2 existing art programs, as well as initiation of an early art education program in our preschool curriculum. The CDC currently participates in Music and Movement year-round and has a variety of artists/musicians from different cultures visit our school. We also participate in the inter-generational program with the Sublette Center, allowing the residents and our students to create art for a meaningful engagement between preschoolers and elderly patients.  Along with these art programs, the CDC has partnered with IN|SITE:EX|SITE Public Art program, the Pinedale Fine Arts Council and the Town of Pinedale, being part of their Public Walking Tour. Other community members we collaborate with is Hayley Ruland, stained glass artist, Michelle Humber, singer and guitarist for the “Boom and the Bust”, as well as the Children’s Director at the Sublette Ciounty Library in Pinedale.

With this support of the Wyoming Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Wyoming State Legislature, the CDC can continue to provide early art education to our school and to our community. Thank you for your continued support.
