Wyoming Community Foundation supports Early Childhood Education

In April 2019, the CDC received a generous grant from the Wyoming Community Foundation for $21,500. Funds will go into our General Operating funds used to address key infrastructure needs within the Children’s Discovery Center, enabling us to fulfill our mission effectively. In addition to our preschool programming, community based programs are an essential part of our mission. Throughout the year, the Children’s Discovery Center offers many programs with partners such as: Inter-generational program with the Sublette Center, our literacy partnership with the Sublette County Library, Ski lessons with White Pine Ski Resort, Swim lessons with the PAC, and Yoga. For the past 4 years, the CDC has collaborated with local artist, Hayley Ruland who introduces students to stained glass. During our Summer Program, we have over 15 guest speakers from various local businesses and organizations, as well as receiving trunks from the Buffalo Bill Museum of the West in Cody, WY for a Native Peoples unit. We also coordinate to visit local sites around Sublette County.

All children deserve to have access to high-quality preschool programs that place them in the best position possible for future success.
